MacOS Desktop Client Installation

Before beginning installation, you must have already registered at noports.com and obtained your client and device atSigns.

🖥️ MacOS Desktop App Client Installation Instructions

1. Note your client atsign (i.e. @name_client)

   1. Client atsign is used to login and will automatically be activated once used to login to the desktop app

   2. Device atsign will need to be activated via CLI (instructions under MacOS Device Installation)

2. Download the NoPorts Desktop App

   1. Link to Apple Store

3. Run the installer to install the NoPorts Desktop

4. Login to the No Ports Desktop App

   1. Launch the No Ports Desktop App

   2. Click the 'Get Started button'

   3. Enter your client atSign

      1. This also registers the client atSign

   4. Enter one time password (OTP)

5. Backup your Keys

   1. Click on the Settings gear box button on the top right of the UI

   2. Click on the 'Backup your keys' button on the left hand navigation

   3. Download the Keys to your selected local storage location

6. Prepare a Profile to establish a NoPorts connection

   1. Return to the Dashboard

   2. Click the 'Add New' button to create a new Profile

      1. Enter the details for the new profile

   3. Or, Download a test profile to establish a test connection

      1. Link to test profile

      2. Upload the profile via the Dashboard

      3. Start the connection by pressing ▶️

      4. Connect to http://localhost:8080 in your browser

      5. Congrats, you just connected to a secret webpage via NoPorts!

7. Click the 'Connect' / Play button for the profile you just added

*Note, your remote device installation must be complete before the profile will connect. If utilizing a test profile, it will connect to our test site without needing a remote device to be set up first.

1. Confirm the connection is established and utilize NoPorts for secure remote connectivity!
